The King's Arms and The Black Bull were both owned by the same landlord and were favourite haunts of Branwell Brontë ... the black sheep of the world famous Brontë family.
An extremely talented visual-artist, public speaker and writer; his talents are often overlooked.
Not only was he (allegedly) a drug addict and alcaholic ... he also became the head of the Haworth Village Temperance Society !
The Black Bull is listed as one of the most haunted public houses in Britain and has featured frequently in the 'Most Haunted' television series.
The King's Arms is also reputed to be haunted; having served for many years as both the village mortuary and slaughterhouse !

This is the schoolroom where all three of the Brontë sisters taught.
During 2006-07 it was converted into a contemporary art gallery, retaining one 'original' classroom for visitors to enjoy.
Throughout 2007 it housed critically-acclaimed exhibitions by the American artist Matt Lamb and Haworth-based artist Chris McCarthy.
